Product features Nacht der Amazonen (1936) by Ludwig Hohlwein, the German artist known for bold commercial graphics, sharply staged figures, and the visual language of early twentieth-century poster design. Created for a Munich park festival held in the Nymphenburg Palace Park, the artwork presents a stylized rider on a green horse, combining pageantry, classical costume, and theatrical motion into a striking image of spectacle. The vivid mint, rose, gold, and violet tones give the work its unusual decorative charge, while the angular lettering and simplified forms reflect Hohlwein’s distinctive command of modern composition. Sourced from the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division, Washington, D.C., presented in a refined design as part of the Art Movements Collection.
