Product features Zonnebloem (1919) by Julie de Graag, the Dutch artist and graphic designer known for refined linear compositions, decorative natural studies, and a distinctly restrained graphic sensibility. This striking work presents a sunflower through crisp monochrome linework, turning the flower’s broad petals, dense central disc, and layered leaves into a composition of rhythm, structure, and quiet ornament. The spare palette and deliberate contouring give the image a woodcut-like clarity, reflecting the early twentieth-century interest in stylisation, nature, and design as a unified visual language. Housed in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, presented in a refined design as part of the Art Movements Collection.
